Jesus of Nazareth is arguably the most influential man in history. And those last two words are important: in history. Investigating Jesus and his claims is not an esoteric or mystical exercise. Rather it starts as an historical one. Did this man Jesus really exist? What did he say and do? Who was he? How do we know?  And what about the claim that he rose from the dead? All these are historical questions that can be investigated and tested on the basis of evidence. And that is the starting point of any investigation of Jesus.

At Unichurch we regularly run courses for people who want to find out who Jesus was and what he said and taught, and what it might mean to follow him. The course is called Christianity Explored and much of it is spent looking at the earliest account of Jesus' life, the gospel of Mark. You can get a feel for what the course is like by watching the video on this page. All different kinds of folk come along - from skeptic to out & out atheist, and everyone is welcome. If you would like to join one of those courses - fill in the form below and we will be in touch to let you know when the next one is happening.  The course usually runs for 7 weeks, and is free. And don't worry, we won't hassle you or bother you if  you change your mind.

The best place to start any investigation about Jesus is the 1st century accounts, written within a generation of his life. Click the image to download a free copy of one of them, written by man called Mark in about 65 AD.
