Sometimes the most important things in life are the things you can't see. You can't see friendship, or air, or a promise. But that does not mean they are less real, or less important. In his letter to the Ephesians, Paul prays that our hearts might see some VERY BIG invisible things:
"I pray that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power for us who believe…”
The things Paul is praying for us to see are infinitely big and wonderful: God's power, out future glory, the inheritance God will give us. So our aim over the coming weeks is that we see these huge, wonderful and unseen realities so clearly that they shape our decisions, our priorities, our dreams, our affections, our time...our all. And I am praying for God to help us, because sometimes it's hard to see things that are invisible. Even if they are really big.
